Profiles - Malakai

As you wait for the video to load, consider this.

Just about every scruffy social misfit you talk to these days reckon they are into hiphop. At least half of those kids reckon they can rap themselves. But how many times at a party or dodgy bus station have you ever actually seen them throw down some solid freestyle? How many times do you feel like saying "is that the best you can do"?

Meet unsigned Sydney artist Malakai.

This guy had more style and flow hanging out on his porch than some guys I've seen supporting the biggest name acts from around the world. With barely a look, he and his partner in crime Nic seamlessly rolled out the rhymes back and forth until either needed a beer or the record simply stopped playing.

THIS IS WHAT THESE GUYS DO.
They would do it if you liked it and they would do it even more if you don't.

Few artists would have the balls to approach a sponsor as large and as respected as Analog but few artists have the self belief and the talent required to attempt such a mission. As you can see from the Analog global advertisement below, they saw his potential and have already paid him back generously by supporting the release of his debut Mixtape, featured below.

All of this just goes to show, if you have a talent you want the world to see, its worth talking yourself up.

You just might be the next big thing.
